This page, inspired by a song by Garth Brooks, was made in tribute to all the wonderful things I missed during the 50's and 60's! Those were the days...not that I would know or anything but I've heard stories! I've had even my own sisters and friends say that they (as well as myself) believe that I was born in the wrong time period! I wsa born at the very end of the 80's so I missed the hairbands and the hippies of the 70's as well. The early 90's I do not remember because of being so small because "I was so young when I was born"...haha...anyroad Here's to the wonderful time period that was and (in some people's minds) still is the time of the Rockin' 50's and Swingin' 60's!
Here I've decided to highlight some of my favorite things from the time period...The Swingin' Chicks (some of which are my rolemodels), and the fab fashions in which these DollyRockers brought about (Mary Quant), and the GEAR music of the time, and the wicked bands that brought it to our ears, and their impact on today's not-so-gear-but-okay lifestyle!

Fab Music and Gear Bands Some fab music of this wicked time period includes such songs of "Come Softly To Me", "Travelin' Man", "I'm Telling You Now", "Hippy Hippy Shake", "Bad To Me", "Bus Stop", "Little Games", "American Pie", "Lonely Boy", "Red Rubber Ball","Last Train To Clarksville", "Teenager In Love", and of course "Hey Doll Baby" and "Cathy's Clown"! Of course it wouldn't be right not to put a name with the music! Some of my favorite bands and singers from the 50's and 60's include The Fleetwoods, Rick Nelson, FREDDIE AND THE DREAMERS, THE SWINGING BLUE JEANS, Billy J. Kramer and The Dakotas, THE HOLLIES, THE YARDBIRDS, Don McLean, PAUL ANKA, The Cyrkle, THE MONKEES, DION AND THE BELMONTS and *THE EVERLY BROTHERS*!
